lunch!

I'd like to start this off by thanking California for stayin beautiful. I just got back from my lunch break. My co-worker Randall and I decided to walk over to the 7-11 near our job. I've never gone to this 7-11 cause if I don't bring my lunch, I get it nearby. I wasn't as hungry and due to the weather, craved a slurpee. We walk over and holy crap! this 7-11 sells pizza, wings, potato wedges, quesadillas and other shit aside from the regular crunchy taquito things. My mind was blown. I tried one of the wings, wasn't bad. Wasn't great. But i mean, I was at 7-11. Not to mention, I have yet to find a wing joint as good as Wings Over Brookline (missin u,Boston).

Today's slurpee consisted of
Wild Orange, Blueberry, Cherry and a splash of Coke.
It tasted like an amazing sherbet.


This slurpee makes sitting in this cubicle a little less depressing. fuck a job, i just wanna party.

Getting my slurpee today wasn't as absurd as the last post. I did see a white lady running with her dog...and holding a bat. I laughed. I also counted 3 television sets in the middle of the sidewalk. I DO need a new tv. Hm. I wasn't gonna get a slurpee today but I like going on walks. I walked a lot earlier today, good for me. Long walks and my headphones are all I need.
Anywho, I went to the same 711 as last time.

Wild cherry, coke, blackberry lime, blueberry and piña colada. The blackberry lime did not piss in my cup again. I could have done without the piña colada. Tasted funny. I give it a 7.

Also, to you readers, yes, all 10 of you, recommend my blog to your readers/friends! Id like a reason to post more often!

Let me start this off by saying, I didn't know people read this until I got asked to update. I kinda forgot about it too, hence the lack of posts. I'm a very busy person, with you know...getting drunk and watching court shows. Those are obviously real important and im positive you care. anyway. i moved from the area i was in before and now live about a mile from a 711. its a real nice day, so i decided to take the 2 mile walk. let me preface the rest of this little adventure with saying; I live in the hood. My rent is cheap for a reason. i dont walk outside alone after 7pm and my white friends don't either. Like I said, its about a mile away. no big. i get my headphones and turn on my music (Banda Machos, btw.) i get my slurpee and head back. I got honked at a couple times. 'Hey babygirl' and 'como te llamas?' Of course, the harassment had gone on my entire walk but I ignored it. It not like its a compliment either, these guys will hit on anything with legs. Even if I didn't have legs, I'm sure it wouldn't matter. And I'm assuming its working on someone for these dudes to constantly do it. Whatever. I get a phone call, take my headphones off and hear, 'AYE, MIJA! MIJA! ADONDE VAS?!' Right as I'm about to answer my phone, this car full of pervos hit the car in front of them. Idiots were too concerned with getting my attention (because I was obviously going to get in the vehicle. Even tho there was like 7 of them in a 5 passenger car) the light had turned red and bam! Bummer 4 u, toyota corrola. I couldn't help but laugh. Maybe no they'll think twice. Or I'll move outta this area. I doubt either is going to happen. My rent is cheap and they....welll....


Here's my slurpee concoction for today!
Blueberry, wild cherry and some fucking weird blackberry lime that wasn't done mixing. How do I know it wasn't done mixing? It basically peed in my cup. Still mad good though!

that didn't last very long

i'm back in california. what can i say, i'm a west coast girl forever. anyway, im in los angeles now. not norcal. i should probably figure my shit out at this point and settle somewhere. but thats boring. and no one likes a boring person. anyway, there isnt a 7-11 near by but they're easier to find. hopefully i'll start updating this thing a lot more, even though no one reads it.

Watermelon, Coke and some green flavor that didn't have a label. I really should have gotten a bigger size because it was SO good. Tasted like a jolly rancher. Green Mystery Flavor, you will be missed.

I had an interview yesterday and as I'm coming up the stairs from the T, the first thing I see is a 7-11. My eyes lit up and I was deeply saddened that my slurpee would have to wait til I got out of the interview. I took it as a good sign...

...Interview was terrible and I doubt I got the job. BUT I had a slurpee to look forward to.



Wild Watermelon, the X-men "Mutant" flavor, Coca Cola.

I could have done without the Mutant flavor. But all in all, it was a good slurpee.

I moved to Boston and for whatever fucking reason, there isn't a 7-11 walking distance. I better find one asap or I'm moving back to California.

Finally.

After talking about it for months, I've finally decided to start a blog dedicated to my slurpee concoctions. I mean really, if you don't mix slurpee flavors, get outta here. It's half the fun! Every 7-11 has different flavors available at different times. Not to mention the fact that some stores carry candy flavored straws. I particularly enjoy the cherry flavor.

Anyway, here's yesterday's choice:
I started off with the coke flavor, added some pink lemonade, mixed in some cherry flavor and stirred in some pina colada. No candy straw. The 7-11 closest to my mom's house doesn't offer such an amazing additive. They should really look into it.
